Hello, I’m David Jack, Managing Director of Castlebank Financial Planning.
My experience in arranging your Power of Attorney has been proven for over 30 years providing expert advice to individuals and families throughout Scotland.
I have also seen the devastating financial and emotional consequences for those who lose their mental capacity and do not have a Power of Attorney in place.
There are two types of Lasting Powers of Attorney to avoid this:
Property and Financial Affairs LPA
This gives your chosen attorneys authority to deal with your property and finances. If you so wish your attorneys can also act in such capacity for you while you have mental capacity which may be particularly useful if mobility is lost or becomes limited.
The sort of decisions Attorneys might make could include;
- Selling your property
- Paying your bills
- Managing your bank accounts
- Making investments
Health and Welfare LPA
This gives your chosen attorneys authority to make decisions about your personal welfare, such as
- Who you should have contact with
- Where you should live
- Providing consent or refusing medical treatment
Come to us or we will come to you
I will provide face to face, online services, and free home visits if preferred to provide initial advice and guidance if you are considering a Power of Attorney.
It all starts with a conversation simply click here contact me to find out more.
Sincerely,
David Jack
